Running it at 400V gives us the extra electrical headroom needed to keep the output rock-solid, even when the power on a busy plant floor dips and jumps. With a 300mm tube and 2500W of power, you get the kind of heat density that can tackle large or densely packed bonds in one go. But let’s be real—this is serious energy. Plan for it. A 2500W tube throws off a lot of heat. Your setup needs proper airflow and a solid thermal plan to keep everything from overheating and to protect the lamp’s lifespan.
The Inside Story: Halogen, Quartz, and the R7s
At the core, you’ve got a halogen UV lamp housed in a quartz envelope. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable, even at scorching temperatures. That means the light output stays consistent over the life of the tube. Quartz isn’t just for show. It transmits UV efficiently and can handle the shock of rapid on/off cycles far better than standard glass. We chose the R7s connector because it’s proven in the field. It handles high current, locks in securely, and makes the lamp a simple drop-in replacement in existing fixtures. The tube’s coating is also purpose-built. It focuses the energy into the UV band you need for curing, instead of wasting power on visible light or infrared that just adds heat without doing the job.
